Hello, and welcome
to my Website
This is
what I look like. Can't do much about it, I'm afraid, but I like to think
the grey hair makes me look distinguished. When I wear my favourite
red jumper, my children call me Santa! Although I was christened
James, my friends and family call me Jim, so I hope you will
do the same.
I love
writing books for kids and teenagers. Thirty-one of
them so far, and counting. This site tells you a
bit about them and about me, too. Here's number thirty- two, due out
on 6 July.
A lot of readers have been waiting
anxiously for this conclusion to the story that began with

My books are available in many countries
these days, not just Australia where I live. I know that
teachers sometimes set assignments that
ask you to find out more about books and their
authors, so I've created this website to help you out.
Usually, I'm delighted to hear from you by
email so you can tell
me what you think of my stories, but for the next few
months I won't be able to respond. So if you have a lot of
questions for those assignments, you'll have
to look through the FAQ sections instead.
